I have to admit that I am a longtime fan of SONOS, although I do think that I have dealt my share of constructive criticism over the years. When it comes to the SONOS MOVE, I think they have made a home run! Here is what I like:1. It sounds amazing! Here's why - The bass is significant, even outside, without ever getting distorted. It plays really loud if you want, but also sounds well balanced at low sound levels. They did something amazing with the high-frequency and mid-range where is sounds uniform across the entire side and forward projection of the speaker, not just in the "sweet spot" in front like other speakers. It is beautifully detailed and realistic sounding.2. It looks great. Here's why - It has the same great looks as I have come to expect from SONOS, but there is something about the material choices on this product that make it even better. It fits right in with my other SONOS speakers, while not taking up any more space than say a SONOS ONE.3. Automatic Trueplay - it automatically adjusts its sound depending on where you place the speaker, making sure that it always sound its best. I imagine this was pretty had to do, but it works really well. I put MOVE in some pretty challenging places inside and outside, and within 20 or 30 seconds or so it just fixes itself and sounds great again!4. The WiFi range - I took MOVE outside and began to walk all around the outside my house and into the yard pretty far away and it never lost connection. SONOS did something special here with the WiFi to make it super robust.5. Bluetooth - even if you go some place without WiFi, you can still connect with Bluetooth. I like having that feature so that I don't have to worry if there is WiFi or not wherever I might travel.6. It feels solid - It has a great solid and balanced feeling to it. There is an integrated handle in the back that is just part of the design. I've set it down on sand and grass and it just feels stable and balanced.7. Stereo pair - I only have one, and with it I can fill my whole yard with incredible sound, but I like knowing that if I ever got another one, I could set them up as a stereo pair and have myself a real outdoor concert!8. It's weather proof - you could get caught in the rain, or it could get dirty and you can just rinse it off with a hose. I plan to take good care of MOVE, but its nice to know that it has this level of protection from the elements.9. It has voice control - just like the SONOS ONE, it has a microphones that allow you to use Alexa and Google voice assistants. That comes in handy, especially when you are outside grilling.10. Charging base - it comes with a nice charging base, instead of it being sold as an accessory like other brands do.What I don't like:1. Travel bag - it comes with a nice looking bag, but I question how long it will last and how much protection it will really give. I'm sure SONOS will offer a travel bag accessory at some point, but for $400, it seems like they could have included a nylon padded bag with handle and pouch for accessories.2. USB-C charger - it is great that it comes with a nice charging base, but if they made the charger a detachable USB-C charger, then you could more easily take it with you when you travel. I'm sure SONOS will probably sell a USB-C charger accessory at some point, but again, for $400, I think this could have been included.Overall, this is one fantastic product. I would say that this is easily the best SONOS product they have ever made. I just love having a" truly wireless" wireless speaker!
Finally, at long last.....we finally have an outdoor, portable, Bluetooth/wifi Sonos speaker offering. I have Sonos products all over my house, so I will admit I already like their products and I am very familiar with them. This speaker fits perfectly into their lineup for people who want to be able to bring Sonos away from home wifi zones. I'll make this review short and sweet. This speaker is not small....it's probably about twice the volume of a Play One. It's also not light, but it comes with a very well-designed handle. The way I think of this speaker is a new and improved Play 3 that happens to be mobile and battery operated. It has a front-facing driver that sounds very nice and is plenty loud for my taste. It can be paired to another Move speaker if you have a large deck and you don't want to hardwire a stereo setup. What I do with mine is the perfect application, in my opinion. I leave the handy and well-executed charging station where I would have placed a Play 3 in my house. It will operate exactly the same as your other Sonos speaker. When I'm going to use it outside, I simply pick it up and take it with me. The internal wifi extenders means I never have to use Bluetooth when I'm anywhere near my house. I use this on my deck. If I forget to bring it in at night, it will have no issues with a rain storm, a drop into the pool, or a water gun blast.Pros:- Solid speaker loudness and tone. It's not as good as a Play 5, but as good or slightly better than the Play One.- Very well built.- Charging station is nicely done and can remain in a convenient location.- Can be charged with any USB-C plug as well.- 10 hour battery life at 50% volume.Cons:- Price. This is not an inexpensive speaker.- Size and weight. I don't take this to the beach with me. It's a little too big for that and I wouldn't want to risk something of this value at the beach.- It's new, so there are not any aftermarket wall or deck mounts being made yet. I am waiting for a wall-mount for my deck where I can just set it down out of the way.
Portable (Check), pairable (check), weather resistant (check), Trueplay (check), voice control (check), bluetooth (check), Sonos sound and of course WiFi capability, (Check and Mate). This really is an amazing speaker. If you own a Sonos system it's a great adjunct. I now have 19 Zones with my new "Move" speakers including three Zones in my yard. The "Move" is the speaker I've been hoping that Sonos would make. Every situation is different but I'd highly recommend getting a pair of them. Everything sounds better in stereo. Enjoy and thanks Sonos for making life just a little bit better.

Bose SoundLink Revolve+
Meet the SoundLink Revolve+, the best-performing portable Bluetooth speaker from Bose. It delivers deep, jaw-dropping sound in every direction. Place it in the center of the room to give everyone the same experience. Or set it near a wall and sound will radiate and reflect around the room, immersing you in that same feeling you felt at your favorite show.

Bose issued an update 5 months ago and now the Revolve will auto turn on with no way to disable it. This thing will randomly announces that its 'connected to...' it is extremely annoying!! Have to be very careful how you leave all your Blue Tooth devices otherwise it auto connects, it doesn't just auto connect - it has to announce it. Bose knows about this but for some reason has refused to issue a patch! Before you buy read what other users have to say; google the Bose Community for Soundlink-Revolve-Randomly-Turning-OnHighly recommend you don't spend the $300 until this BUG is fixed, you will be sorry otherwise. Very disappointed with the product and Bose10/5 update - have these connected via Bluetooth various devices, laptop (Win10), iPad, Samsung S10, results are the same with every device, connection is sporadic music stops and starts SO annoying!! SAVE YOUR MONEY!! Very disappointed in Bose, not only for producing this POS product but for not standing up and fixing all the problems with it. Been a long time Bose Customer and advocate, those days are long gone!
Out of the box, I updated the speaker software. This update causes the unit to turn on randomly. Posts on the Bose Community page show that many people have experienced the same problem and Bose engineers have not resolved this bad software issue. Clearly, the new software is meant to serve people who use two of these expensive speakers in tandem. The bug in the software causes one speaker to randomly turn on when the base device Bluetooth is turned on. The sound of my Soundlink Bluetooth Speaker 3 is superior to this speaker. The previous Soundlink 3 (discontinued) has better sound - stereo. I'm just going back to using the previous model, which essentially plays fine anyway. I returned this disappointing speaker.
What's not to love about a Bose product beside the price. It's a little pricey but as they say "you get what you pay for". However, this little portable guy is a powerhouse! Love the handle, the quality of deep base tones, battery life, portability - love the handle!!! It sounds superior when hanging. Works great on the boat and camping or out by the pool! NOTE: YOU DO NOT NEED THE BASE CHARGER THAT IS RECOMMENDED AND SOLD SEPARATELY - IT COMES WITH A CHARGER THAT WORKS JUST FINE.
I Usually never write reviews and I believe this is my first time writing a review for a product but this speaker was just too amazing for me not to tell everyone about it. The sound is crystal clear and very wonderful and for all you bass lovers, this is the product for you!!! I’m literally in love with the Bass because it’s just amazing!! Well done JBL!
Expensive, convenient and badass.I recently bought 4 of these along with the carrying cases and took them on a trip to Turks and Caicos for a wedding (two of these in cases will fill up 1 medium check-in bag).During the trip I literally had over four different people order these after seeing them, they were definitely a hit. Needless to say we provided the beach with music and 4 speakers provided an awesome immersive surround sound around the pool at night. Even the resort workers were complimenting the sound over their own sound system. I even have a friend of mine buying these for their boat rather than installing outdoor speakers...they truly are versatile and you can take them anywhere. The only downside is the cost. They are expensive, and they definitely sound best when you have more than one to experience a surround sound - the advantage of multiple speakers means you don’t have to turn them up as loud keeping the nice bassy punch at mid-high volume.
My biggest and best bluetooth speaker! even makes a fantastic soundbar! Gets plenty loud enough for me and so grateful for connect plus! Ever since I've had this thing I'm had a way better music experience! Plays everything I listen to like a champ with details that I never even knew where present. I believe it hits a bit lower bass note then what is stated on the papers. Love this thing it's never leaving my possession!

I have dualistic feelings about this speaker. I will give you the Pros & the Cons.I've had this Bose Soundlink Mini II Speaker for about 2 months now.Pros:The Sound Quality is FANTASTIC. It's truly amazing. This speaker gives incredible bass and high quality sound. I love the portability of it. I don't have any problems pairing this with my computer and my phone. Truly a great speaker in terms of sound quality.Cons:I discovered a month after I received it that it stopped charging. For a few days, it was completely unable to charge while either being directly plugged in or sitting on the charging port. Nothing worked for several days and the battery % kept dropping. Then I went through page after page of old reviews on this product and other Bose Bluetooth speakers. And then I discovered that this is a common problem on ALL Bose Bluetooth speakers. And then I started researching other bluetooth speakers by other companies, such as Sony and JBL. Turns out ALL bluetooth speakers have issues with them losing the ability to charge the battery. It's an industry problem among bluetooth speakers. Disheartened, due to the prevalence of the problem among all bluetooth speakers, I decided to keep the speaker because there appeared to be no better option available.Fortunately, the speaker started charging again and I haven't had any problems the last few weeks. I'm cautiously optimistic. But I'm also nervous, because if you go through Bose Soundlink Mini II reviews, you will see MANY people complaining of the same problem that seems to get worse as the months go by.Again, the sound quality is FANTASTIC. It's just a matter of finding out if these speakers have any longevity. That's my major concern. Perhaps in 10 months I can update this review to reflect how it's lasted.
This little speaker is amazing! Not a rich man but doing well the price was from my “treat “ fund. I first heard Bose speakers at a friends home in the early 70s, looking around trying to figure out where his tunes were coming from when he pointed to two stands with small boxes on them. They were no bigger as I recal then a small cereal box that you cut open and use as a bowl. I think he had a bass or woofer on the floor but the point being it was a tremendous sound!Jump to February of this year and I purchased this amazing speaker! I have several small blue tooth speakers in the 30 dollar range, but we are comparing watermelons to cherries here. The video is from a very inexpensive michrophone, 30 dollar range which you will see.But look at the spectrum analysis of what the mike is inputting to.Each division represents 250 Hertz (cycles per second for some of us elderly gentlemen! Lol)So at the left end you see zero to 250 Hertz in the first “square” the next division to the right is 250 to 500 Hertz. Middle C on a piano is around the “A” 440 Hertz so its in this or the next “square”. The “square” or division (sorry for going back and forth between division and square!) at the far right shows the frequencies between 2,250 Hertz and 2,500 Hertz in the over tones. Hope this makes sense. This is a visual representation of the music broken down showing the frequencies coming out of the Bose speaker through a very inexpensive microphone. If you play the video you will hear it as wellYes I will recommend this speaker to my friends!
I had one of these for a couple years. Some teenager working with a sublet contractor on my jobsite took off with it. I guess he knew the value and quality! Over the last couple of months I tried 3 different "similar looking" speakers as I did not want to spend the money for the Bose. Well, after 2 of them sitting on the shelf in the garage as they are junk... the 3rd one ended up there too as I couldn't hear it over my garden hose while watering my plants. 🙁 So, I came in and ordered another BOSE - and you know what?......... It is worth every penny!!! Just keep an eye on it.

This speaker lives up to the hype! It's worth every penny. I have been using this speaker for 2 weeks now and I'm thoroughly impressed. I own a JBL Flip 4 and a Douni A7 and this speaker is better then both with truly balanced audio quality! If you are picky about sound this is the speaker to get. I also own the Tribit xsound go and that is a great speaker as well but this one for a little more then $20 more is well worth it! You will not be disappointed. Tribit is a great up and coming audio brand and their customer service is outstanding. They will do whatever it takes to make you happy and satisfied. Not to mention they have the best warranty in the business 30 day money back and 18-MONTHS replacement if anything goes wrong with your speaker also if you register your device on the company's website they give you an additional 12 months on top of the 18 months they already give you so you get 30 months of replacement warranty. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Give this company a chance they deserve it!
Bought this after watching clavinetjunkie's review on YouTube. I had researched for about a week solid, at the end of my searching I came across clavinetjunkie's channel. I enjoyed watching his videos for a few days. Super detailed and informative videos and database of all he has tested! This one was to be released very soon. I decided to wait for it and I am glad I did.Its exactly as he described, very nice indeed! Very nice enjoyable sound in a small portable package. Day one and I am happy... update in the future. This one takes the cake.I would recommend you run over and check out his channel atleast before you come to your conclusion.
Already using one of this company's products the X sound go, my expectations were very high for this and they were completely met. I can't say enough about it read the reviews for the X sound go this is twice as loud for twice as long for a little less than twice the price you can not beat the value. It sounds as good as the X sound Go with approximately twice the volume The bass boost works great at lower levels doesn't make much difference at full volume. I can only assume for my experence with the x sound go that it is rugged durable and problem free, time will tell. The value is the same as the x sound go, simply phenomenal.
Sound that Satisfies – MaxSound Plus’ audio experience appeals to casual listeners and audiophiles alike. The advanced Texas Instruments amplifier modules, audio processing tech, and larger drivers pump out a fully articulate sound at all volumes.

Was nervous picking this up at first, because all the reviews seemed to be from reviewers who got the product for free. Not that their reviews weren't accurate, but I was tentative to buy a Bluetooth speaker at this price, and knowing whether the performance would justify the cost was a big part of the buying decision for me.Well, long story short, I tested this speaker against a handful of other highly-regarded Buletooth speakers in the $50-75 range, just to be sure that the Stockwell's price tag wasn't based on branding alone, and I ended up satisfied with the results. The Stockwell II isn't a perfect speaker -- it does drop off more low-end base than some speakers with "boomier" designs, and it may not get quite as loud as some others at the very top of the volume dial, but the one thing it does do well, is sound good across virtually every source & listening scenario.Every time I thought I had found a song or sample that proved another contender could top the Stockwell II for less cash, I found there was a caveat... For example, the Archeer A320 produced better bass at low-to-mid volumes, but its midrange was muddier across the board. I realized after more research that the Archeer adds some artificial bass boost on the low-end that sounds good in some cases, but extended into the low-mid range, cluttering up some intstrumentals and giving voices a weird "overboosted aftereffect" vibe. Meanwhile, at higher volumes, the Stockwell produces enough thump to be heard, while remaining noticably tighter than the others.Along the same lines, speakers that could get louder than the Stockwell usually ended up sounding crushed, or with a buzzy sound either from the processing or the drivers themselves, that didn't really produce a better experience than the Stockwell at max volume, which holds together pretty well, and is loud enough for an outdoor gathering of all but the most chaotic kind! (If you're trying to outdo a kids' pool party or a rowdy family barbecue, you might need more than 1 portable Bluetooth speaker in the first place!)Anyway, I'm writing this review for people like me, who are intrigued by the Stockwell II, but have doubts about the price. I'm going to be returning or gifting the other 4 speakers I tested this against, and happily rolling with the Stockwell for the foreseeable. If you have incredible particular musical tastes, e.g. you listen to 99% EDM and hip-hop. there might be a more aggressive speaker that fits your expectations. But versus all that I threw at the speakers in my home-grown "2019 Bluetooth Speaker head-to-head," be it acoustic guitar tracks, Jazz, Rock, Metal, or podcasts and YouTube movies or music, the Marshall gave everything the most natural, i.e. "live" impression. There may be competitor speakers that outdo the Stockwell -- I don't run an audio review site nor have the time to continue testing alternatives for weeks on end. But I came away mightly impressed with this little speaker (which, it should be noted is arguably more portable than many of the other large-ish "pro" quality BT competitors in its price range.) While I'm sure I could find an even better option at twice the price or size, I could never get the Stockwell II to sound *bad* -- more than could be said for some of the others I tried -- and it often sounded surprisingly clear.Rarely do I make such an effort to review something online, but I didn't want all my time & effort on this little side-project to go to waste. 🙂 Hope it helps someone else out there evaluating their options for a high-quality Bluetooth speaker to pair with a phone, tablet, or laptop, that's still easy to port around.
Just got this speaker and it really does sound very good. The only issue is the frequent Bluetooth connection issue. When I connect it to my iPhone, sometimes theMusic isn’t audible until you get past #6 on the volume knob. I contacted customer service and they had me select the speaker on my phone, then select “forget this device”, then turn my phone off and reconnect the speaker to my phone. This cumbersome workaround works but I am having to do this every other time I want to use the speaker, which is annoying. Marshall is aware of the issue but no software update is available at this time. So, I will be returning the unit until they can fix this issue.
This Marshall Stockwell Portable Bluetooth speaker has wowed me in ways that I did not think were possible. Let's jump right in with the Class D amplifiers. Most people are not going to know what a Class D amp is, does, or why it is better - and in fact, some people are going to complain about a Class D amplifier's one "drawback" or perhaps not really a "drawback," but the one thing you can notice about it.Class D amplifiers are not linear. That means that when you turn it up (or turn down the resistance) the Class D amp does not get louder in a straight line. It is exponential so it takes a long time of turning the volume knob before it starts to get loud, and then when it does, it gets very loud, very fast. You have to be precise when turning the volume knob and plan on treating "6" or "7" as the starting point. In exchange for this one minor difference, you get an amplifier that is easily 90% efficient, compared to a Class A or B amplifier that is 50%-78.5% efficient - and typically closer to 50% efficiency. That means cleaner power and more power, with less distortion and more punch and power when you need it. Mostly what it means, is PURE sound quality that is crisp and clean and sounds awesome. You can hear those amplifiers at work in this beautiful speaker. It is truly a work of art on several levels. It looks and feels outstanding. The build quality is like a German car of yesteryear folklore. The speaker just feels solid and perfectly built. It is heavy, and sturdy and interestingly, somewhat water resistant. The engineering is very simple and clean and minimalist - all in a very beautiful look and feel. But where it really shines is the rich, warm, powerful sound. This is one of those speakers that you look at it and listen to it and think to yourself - HOW DID THEY DO THAT? How did they get this relatively small, chunk of a speaker to look and feel so good and sound so amazing.I would give this speaker 10 stars if I could. The battery lasts plenty long, even at loud levels (remember that 90% efficiency?) and it sounds SO, SO GOOD. Rich, warm and clear with no HISS and no noise or distortion. Run it at 10 and it sounds loud, but clear. The bass isn't the kind that rattles screws loose or makes you think your windows are going to rattle into pieces - it is the kind of bass that sounds like there is a real bass drum in your room, or a bass guitarist with a (Marshall) amp in your bedroom strumming away with the band. Can you tell I'm a fan of this speaker. It is simply a thing of beauty.I hope you find this to be a helpful review. If there is anything more you would like to know, please ask. I try to check my reviews for comments and respond to them right away. If you ask something and I don't get back quickly, please check my profile page and email me and I will try to respond as soon as I see it. I think it is important for fellow shoppers on Amazon to look out for one another by letting each other know if a product is good, or if it is a stinker. THIS is a good one - I stand behind it 100% and I would put my name all over this review with no holding back. It is the real deal! I take reviewing very seriously and try to be helpful. Thank you!

I went and compared 3 similar portable speakers with each other (same price of around $100 each):JBL Flip 4- Best quality sound of the 3 (amazing quality - very similar to Bose Soundlink Mini)- No noticeable crackle at max volume with high treble in music- Strongest/deepest bass (my table was shaking on max volume)- Very loud max volumeUltimate Ears WONDERBOOM- Smaller than JBL 4 but larger than Bose Micro- Crackling at max volume for some songs with high treble (Was not expecting this)- Bass is not as strong (very slight bass)- Very loud max volume (similar to JBL 4)Bose SoundLink Micro Bluetooth- Smallest of the 3- Max sound was at 75% that of JBL 4/Ultimate Ears- Sounds "muffled" and not clear (quality is not even close to that of Bose Soundlink Mini)- Exposed charging slot (is this really waterproof?)Overall - I would pick JBL (amazing quality & very similar to Bose Soundlink Mini, but waterproof!) and Ultimate Ears for portability (75 % size of JBL 4). The Bose Micro, although very small, had really poor quality sound for the price (most disappointing).
Ridiculous. It won't let you connect via bluetooth unless you download the app, you can't download the app without putting in a credit card (REALLY!!), then after all that (and putting in my apple ID 3 times), what does this amazing app do? It connects the speaker to my iphone. So, I'm giving my data and my financial information for no added value. Any of my other bluetooth devices don't require a special app or access to my money. If I had read this, I would not have bought it. Even if it performs well, this is such low-brow behavior, I would not have bought it. SO, it could be the best ever device, but I'll never buy another Bose product.
This is Exactly what I wanted from Bose, a water resistant speaker and tough enough to handle extream situations, I'm currently deployed in Afghanistan and this speaker is loud enough with perfect bass for its size, the sound quality is unmatched to the JBL flip 3 I have, though the JBL is louder but does not that the quality or bass I wanted. You get what you pay for with Bose products, now mind you this is a tiny speaker so don't think you are gonna get the sound like the Soundlink Mini, it's a bigger speaker thus bigger sound. But if your looking for light weight and durable to carry into any situations, this is the speaker for you.I highly recommend this product for any Bose fan

The robust polymer and hardwearing fabric construct means it’s ready to tackle even the most turbulent of travels, surviving scrapes and tumbles along the way.
If your only concern is sound quality/performance, this speaker provides exceptional performance and sound quality. Outside of that it is “minimalistic”. No app, no wifi, no pretty lights, designs, or colors...on the speaker to detract. They will blend in well in your living room as well as allow you to take them outdoors without fear of damge from rain or the general elements. The speaker puts out significant volume for its size and does not lose clarity or sound quality as they are turned up, even when on the highest volume level. Sound is exceptionally clear through all levels. I bought two and linked them together to use outdoors on my deck. They are very small (barely noticeable) for the amount of volume produced and provide a full sound for my deck area. These are the third brand of bluetooth speakers I have now tried in order to obtain quality sound. These are the first to give me a sound experience approaching that of a regular in-home speaker. Expensive, but definitely not a purchase I regret or would consider not doing again if I had the chance.
Bought a pair of these little beauties and they match up nicely. The low end is quite punchy and full and complements the other frequencies really well...at all volumes. The speakers do not distort, ever. I Youtubed a comparison of the Denon Envaya with the Bose Soundlink III and listened to it through headphones off of a laptop. That's how I made my decison to go with the Denon Speakers and I am very glad for this purchase. Occasionally there's a little hiccup with linking the two speakers with bluetooth, but a couple attempts later and it works beautifully again. Also need to mention that when you link the two speakers together the sound comes out in true stereo.
This speaker worked fine initially, although it didn't have quite the sound quality I was looking for. I went to charge it today but instead of charging it's making some very weird sounds similar to a clock ticking with the occasional squeak that sounds sort of like a record scratch. None of the buttons respond to being pressed so this speaker no longer works. I need some support or a replacement for this product.

Pro:- waterproof- sound 360°- sound quality and volume- form factor and build quality- price- battery life at half volumeCon:- battery life at full volume- no rewind button- battery status indicator does not appear on phoneLet me start off by saying I had ordered the original WONDERBOOM because it was cheaper and within 48 hours it completely failed. Dead. So I paid $10 and exchanged it for the newer WONDERBOOM 2. I really wanted to like the first one. It completely crapped out, which I attributed to it being a year old and never opened. The battery must have degraded from disuse. Now about the WONDERBOOM 2. The sound quality is good-great, but does fall short of some of the JBL products. The sound is truly 360° which is great for outdoor use. Speaking of outdoors, the little tree button on the bottom does make a noticeable difference in the sound when pressed. The form factor is excellent, especially with the elastic loop for the attachment of a clip or carabiner. One might even describe the build quality as WONDERful. My only real complaint is regarding the battery life. Sure, it could go 13 hours at half volume, but if you hit that outdoor button and crank the volume to full blast, you’re looking at something closer to 2.5-3 hours of playback. Other smaller complaints are that there is no rewind button/function (you can skip tracks by double clicking the center button) and there’s no battery life indication that can be viewed on your connected device (in my case, an iPhone 8 plus). The only indication of battery status is the number of “bloop” sounds heard after pressing the + and - buttons simultaneously. Overall it is a great (not excellent speaker) and for the money I would highly recommend looking at the Oontz Angle 3 Raindance (I probably butchered the name).
Great sounding speakers. 😎👍Clear crisp with full bass. The originals are great the 2nd version is like an update with L & R stereo mode and outdoor mode. As for sound quality it is hard to tell a difference from the originals. Love these speakers. 🔊🎶
I have a few pairs of Bluetooth speakers. Are these my best? No, they are not. But then my best also cost almost twice as much. Are these half as good as my best ones then? Definitely not...they are definitely much better than half as good as my best ones. It doesn't matter what the factor is...suffice to say that after factoring in all that I feel these Wonderboom 2 speakers are well worth 5 Stars!I own 2 of these and pretty much always use them as a pair so please bear in mind that while they sound great individually, some parts of my review will be a bit more biased toward commenting on them working as a pair vs individually. These speakers deliver great sound quality. The tones are nice and I've noticed that the lyrics and sounds of instruments in many songs are a lot crisper than when I listen to those songs transmitted from the same device (usually my phone) but using other cheaper speakers or even similarly priced ones.I'm especially pleased to see how well the connectivity is maintained. For my majority use case (i.e. I don't need to keep the 2 speakers too far apart and nor do I need to keep the transmitters too far away or around too many obstacles) these are perfect. The odd time I need to "break the bounds a bit" for distance they still generally maintain good connectivity. All in all I'm very pleased with these speakers. I'm a huge lover of music and these speakers have been a great addition to my home (and a couple of travels and probably a few more travels down the road too!)!In closing, just going to point out a couple of things (in the grand scheme of things I personally don't find them major enough to warrant deducting a star) that I wish these speakers could do a bit better:1) After pairing my other speakers the first time, thereafter when turning them both on at the same time they automatically connect to each other. With these I have to manually pair them back again every time I turn them on2) For something called Wonderboom these speakers could use just a bit more boom (i.e. bass)

Bring your favorite Dance club just about anywhere. The PK5 speaker delivers premium 24-bit Bluetooth wireless, with Meridian Audio technology for richer bass. Multi-colored LED lighting turns the music into a total sensory experience. And the sturdy, splash-resistant design features an integrated handle and 15-hour battery. *Battery life will vary with use, settings, and environmental conditions.
On its own even with the "enhanced bass" and "clear vocal" enabled, the sound is only a little above average, especially the high end. EQ is a must to get close to audiophile quality out of this speaker. I have an LG G6 phone which boasts aptX HD technology, and it's a perfect fit with this speaker. Using the Poweramp app from the Play Store and some adjustments in the EQ this thing is just short of incredible! Deep, pounding bass, smooth, tight mids and amazingly crisp highs can be easily achieved with a little tweaking of the EQ. Granted, most of the music on my phone is in FLAC lossless format, some of it even hi-res (plays up to 24 bit 192k flawlessly), but even MP3s sound amazing. I really can't say enough good things about the sound of this speaker sound-wise, but the light show feature is another matter. The "beat lighting" feature on this speaker is pretty much useless. When enabled, it's always on and pulsing even without music playing, and even when music IS playing, it's very rarely in time with the music. It's really an unbelievably poorly executed feature, and you will quickly learn to not use it at all. I think it's just a "hey, check this out!" kind of thing, but realistically it just doesn't work. Plus you will save on battery life without it.Also, there is a suggested "Music Flow" app for this speaker, but I've found that its only usefulness is to give the battery level of the speaker. It's a cheesy music app and also has controls for the beat lighting, but again, you'll probably find you'll never use the beat lighting, and the music app doesn't include an EQ, so it's no match against Poweramp. Plus, when you close out of the app, it disconnects the speaker from Bluetooth. Quite uncalled for, especially if you may be using the speaker for the speakerphone feature. All in all I couldn't be happier with this. It's well worth the money, provided you have the proper equipment to take advantage of its advanced sound quality features.
Now I work in construction/labor. I had a UE megaboom which unfortunately met its demise recently therefore I bought this guy.Look this thing is great. The sound is absolutely phenomenal. Clarity and quality. If I were in an office or medium sized room all day I would hands down get one of these. But I am not. I work outside normally with multiple people and near roads so volume is a big deal over clarity. So that is where this speaker lacks. When there is troves of loud background noises this speaker doesnt cut it.If you want clarity and HD quality sound WITHIN a confined space(office, gym, etc) BUY THIS.I will be returning to get a speaker with more volume.I cannot attest to the battery as I've owned this speaker for 2 days but I haven't charged it since I got it and battery is still at 42%, has been on running for 14-16 hours.
This is a product that doesn't really know what it wants to be. On the one hand, it has flashing colored lights suggesting it is yet another party speaker for 20 year olds playing a lot of hip-hop or house music. On the other hand, the digital signal processing was done by Meridian, an extremely high-end audiophile company. They make the stereo in the new Jaguar, so their normal work is not exactly aimed at the 20 year old demographic. So which is it? Think more Jaguar than house party. If you want thumping, weirdly overboosted bass, this is definitely not the speaker for you. If you want a small speaker that will rattle the windows, this is not the speaker for you, either. Even a pair of these don't get all that loud, although you can at least turn them all the way up with no distortion. I think the only real nod to the party speaker crowd is the light show thing. Even that is a kind of half-baked effort. The lights seem to struggle with accurately timing to the music, and after the initial wow factor, you will want to turn them off, as it just gets annoying.Instead, this is for people (of any age) who actually care about a reasonably accurate reproduction of the source material in a relatively small package. I bought a pair of these PK5s and linked them together so they will play in stereo. I was frankly stunned at how good they sound. The sound signature is rich, nuanced and very neutral. Even the bass, which should be just garbage on something this small, is nicely integrated into the overall sound signature. Clearly, the Meridian guys know what they are doing, this sounds like something a lot bigger and more expensive than it is.I bought these for casual, undemanding listening on the patio. Think morning coffee with a little jazz in the background, a speaker for the kitchen, etc. I wasn't expecting all that much at this price. But these are significantly better than that. I think a pair of these could easily be your only stereo in a small apartment where space is at a premium. They are that good. Good luck finding something else at this quality level for this little money. A pair of these at just over $100 is just a screaming bargain. The only thing about them I don't much like is that you have re-pair the two speakers to each other each time you want stereo. That requires pushing the button behind the door for two seconds on each of them every time you turn them on. Not a huge deal. Oh, and if you have an iPhone the app that provides additional controls for the light show is garbage, doesn't work at all. I think it currently has about 250 one star reviews on the App store. Again, not something I care much about.Pick up a pair of these while you can. Something tells me that, at this crazy price, they aren't going to be available forever.
