Love everything about this lamp except for the fact that the bulb socket is on one side, making the lampshade unevenly bright/dark.
This really classes up my office. I'm going for a 1960's theme, and this fits it well.The color is nice, a beautiful green and brass shines brightly. The pull cable feels great and the mounting screw portion doesn't feel as Chinesium as similarly priced items. I'll upload pictures when the office theme is complete!I paired it with a 3000k (amber/yellow) LED and leave the light on through the workday. The spikes in power effecting other lights doesn't effect this lamp with the LED bulb. A regular size bulb will fit this without sticking out the lamp.
This review is for the light bulbs, the t10. For some reason, this listing has a banker's lamp as one choice and an LED bulb as another choice. This review is just for the bulb. I have had these bulbs for 10 months and they have been perfect. They did really well there are nice and bright, they are the perfect temperature of 2700. I have had several other brands of LED filament and incandescent bulbs. These bulbs are by far superior to any others I have tried. I am reordering after almost a year. I use old-fashioned, inexpensive curio cabinet light fixtures under my kitchen wall cabinets. These bulbs work perfectly for that application or for any other curio cabinet fixture uses.

I wasn't sure if I was going to like this lamp but after using it I can say it is great! It's portable and I very much like the light settings. It lasts for a pretty good amount of time between charges. Would recommend to anyone.
First off, this lamps looks amazing.The packaging it came was beautiful, needless to say that it came like it was a gift that the son of Zeus was giving to me. Like a little kid on Christmas I opened it up, tried to turn it on... but it came without charge :(.After charging it for at least half an hour, it was ready to go. I had my fair share of wireless lamps but this one was the best. The four types of lighting it provides are amazing and the sensitivity of the buttons are pretty good. It's quite worth the $$$ spent on itWrapping it up, it's an amazing lamp to take to the library, office or home while working or studying.Update 10/19/16:After a while the lamp started to discharge more quickly, customer service of Luxe contacted me to ask me how this lamp worked for me, told them the problem and in a couple of hours I had a 99% discount code for another lamp. It goes without saying that they truly appreciate a customer.It's an amazing lamp with awesome features.
I bought this lamp because the table lamp next to the bed just wasn't cutting it for my paper book reading. I was a little turned off by the price but it's so perfect I feel it was worth it. It's slim, flexible, and bright, with two options for the type of light you would like to have. I'm happy with the product and would recommend it to others if you're in search of a mondern desk lamp to read your old school books.

This is a great desk lamp.This is a great desk lamp with many brightness settings as well as separate temperature settings. It is VERY bright on its highest setting. There is a very useful favorite button for going back to your favorite light setting. I don't use the night light much button it gives a nice amber light toward the back if it's on your left. like mine. The angle arms are stiff enough to hold the lamp in any position but easy enough to move. It is a good weight so no fear of falling over in any position. I would recommend this to any good friend and even those who are not my friends.

I bought this lamp months ago and have liked it. It looks sleek and gives good, bright light. I put it on my piano top and arranged the arm so the light was shining nicely on the sheet music and keys. When I moved the whole lamp today (first time since the lamp was placed on the piano - I don't dust as often as I should!), I was horrified to see a circular black stain on the piano, right where the base touched the wood surface (see photo). I've tried everything I can think of to remove the stain, but it has seeped into the fine cracks in the varnish. (This piano dates from the 1940's, and the varnish is aging. )I like the lamp, but wish I'd placed it on something impermeable (it's now on a ceramic trivet on the piano...)! I think I have a permanent, vivid, blemish on my beloved old piano. Be warned: don't place the lamp base on anything other than plastic or ceramic. I believe even a painted surface would not be safe. Maybe a surface sealed with polyurethane??
This is a task light for 12" square area. It bright for the area that it illuminates. You can't compare this light to a 5 watt flashlight, flashlights have a focused beam which seem brighter, this is a 5 watt flood light. there are reviews saying it's too bright or its too dim, this light is probably equivalent to a 20 watt incandescent bulb.. The shade is plastic while the arms are metal and the on/off switch is on the base. I might be mad if I paid more than $35 but I bought the Amazon warehouse deal at $14 and there was no damage to it at all. the power is supplied by a power block and it also has a 1/4" plug that goes into the base.
Several years ago, it was very difficult to find a reasonably priced LED desk lamp that didn't use really cheap LED's that put out a narrow, blueish, headache inducing lighting (5K and higher color temperature). One of my original recommendations with a fairly long review attached to it, was this lamp (http://www.amazon.com/review/RUOQPSOTRJF43/). Since 2013, I've been looking for a better (and again, reasonably priced) replacement. Earlier this year, I decided to give this desk lamp a try.This LED desk lamp is my current recommendation. First off is the 3200K color temperature; it's nearly the same as a halogen lamp (which is also normally around 3200K). It's not a whitish color tone (5000K) as the above Sunter LED; it's a much warmer color that is very easy on the eyes. The downside for some folks is that the light may not seem bright depending on the area that is being it lit.For myself, it lights up a 30"x24" desk area just fine (it sits on top of my 2010 Mac Pro around 18.75" high with its arms articulated into a seven shape - the head of the lamp is therefore around 26" above the surface of my desktop). At this height, the light diffuses to cover the entire desktop area.The base of the unit is heavy enough because the rest of the assembly isn't that heavy to begin with; the articulating arm itself is a lightweight metal but the lamp cowl/assembly is plastic. In other words, the quality is decent but not heavy duty. And like most LED desk lamps at this price range, it's pretty much self-contained without a user-replacable bulb assembly.At 6-months into very heavy use (on/off cycles as well as continuous hours), I'm glad I decided to give this particular desk lamp a try.

Amazing desk light. I have dyslexia and with bright blue light or florescent lighting the black lettering on white paper jumps around. It s exhausting for my eyes and head. This light really helps with that strain.Its true, the base is not heavy enough to accommodate all the position the light can be put in which is a real bummer, however its easily worked around. But they could improve it a lot by making the base heavy enough so you can extend the light far away from the base and it wont tip over. Right now if you down weight the base down with something it will tip right over.The ability to program the light to different warm or cold levels is amazing. It could be a little bit brighter on the highest level but that's really a minor issue. The only reason I say that is because in my office I cant have the over head lights turn lower.The only other thing I wish it had was I wish it was taller or had a telescoping neck. As you can see from my pics I had to put it up on a filing cabinet so it was over my monitors and not in-between them.However for the lighting in and of itself its an awesome light which has lessened the degree of strain my eyes experience, lessened the words jumping around and lessened my headaches.
I hesitate to review a product that I have owned for a very few days. By writing an immediate review, I am unable to address how it performed a year after my purchase. I believe that is important to anyone who would want to use any of my reviews as a reference guide. Having said that, here are my first impressions.I have been looking for years for a useful lamp to sit on a side table beside my chair in our family room where my wife and I read and watch television. Most table lamps have a shade that makes reaching the control switch difficult. Add to that the inability to direct the light and its brightness and you have a less than satisfactory result.The Saicoo LED Desk Lamp have proven to be a solution to the problem.The large LED panel; easy to use touch control panel on the base and the infinite adjustment arm gives me a good multiple purpose light source. With the night light, I swing the lamp's arm over the side of my chair and get just enough directed illumination to see the keyboard on my laptop and not annoy others in the room who may be watching television. If I want to read a book, I adjust the arm, color and intensity of the light and direct the beam onto the reading surface. Should I need a bright light to illuminate the entire room I adjust the position of the LED panel and light intensity accordingly. The USB slot in the base of the lamp is certainly a plus. I have used it to charge my cell phone but, to date, not my iPad.When not in use, I simply fold up the lamp so it does not take up a lot of space. I can see a tipping over problem if the arm is extended too far. If that should happen it would be a definite "Shame on you!".Now my unanswered concerns. I wonder if the constant changing of the adjustment of the joints in the arm will cause them to eventually weaken to the point that holding a position will be impossible. I am not at all worried about the LED panel but it may be a minor consideration. If either of these concerns become a problem, then I will get to test Saicoo's customer service department.Finally, aesthetics. This lamp will not win any beauty contests. It has been designed to be functional and do what it does extremely well. It will not make your heart go "pitter patter" when you look at it.
I just got his a few days ago, and, so far, am very impressed. My main use is for reading in bed. Light output at maximum is enough to light my entire small bedroom, at minimum (sleep mode), I can navigate at night just fine without being blinded. I really like the adjustable light temperature--warm for bedtime reading, cool for morning wake-up. It's easy to flip the light panel up for a nice area light.Update time: I bought this nearly five years ago and have been using it continuously since.My only complaints with it were the smooth glass surface with touch sensitive controls, but no tactile feedback and the brightness of the red standby light. The lamp sits on an end table at the head of my bed where I use it for a reading light, and I don't want ti sit up and look to use the controls. The standby light is distractingly bright when sleeping with it about a foot from my head.So I fixed those problems. A trip to the hardware store got me some small parts and a tube of Superglue. I glued a different sized and shaped bit over each of the controls, and can now find them by touch. The little bolt and BB I glued over the standby light covers most of the light, but I can still find it easily in the dark.Much better now.The flat panel provides very nicely diffuse light--I need to play with it as a macro-photography light.Some things, of course, could be improved. Tactile switches--even just little bumps so I can turn on/off/adjust without looking... sleep timer... a little better CRI than 81 would be nice for photography... and making it programmable would be beyond awesome. I wonder how hard this would be to hack? I may just have to open it up and see....The USB charger is nice, but at 1 Amp, it's not enough to charge a tablet while using it. 2 Amps would be nice.Update: I added some little bits that I can fell on the touch-switches. Much better--no more fumbling beside the bed to turn the light on/off!Since the switches are capacitve, it's easy to add a little bit of something metal that you can feel. I used a small SS nut, with a small SS ball-bearing in the middle to the on/off switch. One drop of Super-glue did the trick. Not only does this make it easy to find without looking, it also makes the button effectively bigger--and cuts down the red LED backlight which was bothering me--I like darkness when I'm sleeping. I'll be adding some more interesting things for the other buttons when I get inspired.

Let me begin by saying this is the best lamp I've owned for studying / work. As a software engineer that is also a full time grad student, no other lamps specifically target people who need extremely clear illumination at their workspace. However, for such a premium / costly product, there are issues I have with it.Pros:+ The arm is extremely stable and sturdy. There is no need to twist screws to hold the angle in place. No matter the angle, the lamp remains steady.+ The lighting is so evenly distributed across my desk and monitor, that no glare occurs.+ Lighting is extremely powerful and the dimness / color range is fantastic.+ Cloth wire and metallic build is all very well done.Cons:- The touch ring is gimmicky and too pronounced. Several times I just hit it by accident and turn the lamp off.- The ambient light feature is not very useful for my purposes of studying from a monitor. There should've been ways to adjust the light strength that the ambient light corrects itself too. At the moment it seems too dim.- It could've been even better with charge ports built in.- Wish there was a way to save the current settings I have. Imagine one that you save for studying as opposed to one for near bedtime.- Should've came with the clamp (sold separately)- There are no resources online to give you an idea on the best placement for this light would be in your context. It took me a while to adjust it to my purposes.
Spending about $250 for a desk lamp initially seemed an extravagent decision. The design captured my imagination, so I ordered the lamp. BenQ exceeded my expectations. Illumination is world class and evenly covers the surface in front of my two Dell 27-inch monitors without any glare on the screens. Lamp works great for reading ordinary books. Construction is robust. Lamp base is very solid.I'm reducing five stars to four just because the cost is beyond the reach of most wage earners, teachers, and students, who would benefit from using this lamp.
My eyes are not what they used to be. They tire easily, particularly in the presence of glare. When I saw these lamps, which are designed to light your desk without washing out your monitors, I was pretty intrigued. The price was a bit of a shock for a desk lamp, but I had bought OTT brand lights before, which are similarly expensive. So, I decided to try one. This lamp is so much better than anything else I've used before that I purchased 3 more of them for my various work surfaces and my wife's office. The light actually delivers on the promise of not affecting the visibility of your monitors, while simultaneously lighting up the full width of your desk like no lamp I've used. Unlike the OTTs, these didn't become more annoying than helpful after a couple months of use. Those OTTs were daylight temperature fluorescent lights. The color was warmer than normal green fluorescents, but the fluorescent flicker eventually drove you crazy, if you are sensitive to that.The Good:1. No glare on your monitor. I have 3 large monitors on my desk. None of them are affected by this desk lamp, even at full intensity.2. Truly desk-wide illumination. The curve of the fixture allows for an even light to be spread across the entire width of a large desk if it is positioned high enough. My computer desk is about 6 feet wide. This lamp stands on one end of the desk. The adjustable neck is extended upward almost as high as it can possibly be. Every corner of the desk is well-lit.3. The level of brightness is fully adjustable. The highest setting stops just short of becoming obnoxiously bright. The lowest setting would suit even the most light-adverse folks. It is infinitely adjustable to any level between those extremes. With my failing eyesight, I keep it on the brightest setting always.4. The color temperature is also fully adjustable between glacier white and warm morning sunshine yellow. Different colors of light affect peoples' moods and energy levels. I personally prefer a light on the warmer side, around 3000 Kelvin, when I'm relaxing. The warm light lulls you toward eventually dozing off. But when working, I like to be closer to 4000 Kelvin. This temperature helps me stay wider awake and more productive by reducing the amber shift of the light. While everyone prefers something different, this lamp accommodates virtually everyone by letting you adjust the light infinitely between the lowest and highest temperature settings. I have even found myself adjusting it partway through the day for a boost to my waning energy levels or to reduce eyestrain.5. Zero annoying flickering. You won't miss it a bit.The Bad:1. Price. If you have never spent this much on a desk lamp, you may find yourself temporarily traumatized by the price of this lamp. I have to say though, it is worth the money. The flexibility and reduced eyestrain are hard to live without once you have experienced it.Overall, I highly recommend this desk lamp if you are experiencing severe eyestrain using other less-expensive, poorly-designed desk lamps. You can adjust this lamp to suit virtually any combination of brightness and color temperature you prefer. Through trial and error, you may even discover that the light you thought would help you best actually doesn't. That's the beauty of infinitely adjustable light. You aren't stuck with what you got out of the box. In my opinion, worth every penny. We love all four of ours.

I'm editing this review- previously 3 stars:At first, the lamp was assembled in the box when I pulled it out and the lampshade was installed upside down, causing the light bulb to peek out. I didn't know for sure, and ordered small bulbs and they did the same thing. So, I unscrewed the black piece and flipped the shade and then put the black piece back on and put the bulb in. It works fine now and lights up pretty well.
Straight to the point, this is an inexpensive lamp that looks pretty decent for the price. Is it going to wow anybody? Probably not. That said, it makes a nice bedside lamp for those more price conscious among us. A couple of things to note. When it is shipped the lamp shade comes installed upside down. Easy fix just unscrew it, flip it over and screw the retaining ring back on. DO NOT over-tighten anything on this lamp or I am sure you will break something on it like another reviewer did. It is simply not built to that level of quality. The only other thing of note is that the pull mechanism is not buttery smooth like some older lamps but it isn't that bad. Overall, I think it looks pretty good on the nightstand next to the bed especially now that it has some Edison LED bulbs in it.
Love this lamp! Weirdly enough my son’s room does not have a light of any kind in it but this light works perfect for his room. Gives off tons of light so his room isn’t dark or gloomy, and it’s very lovely to see vs looking at a tall eye sore lamp. My only problem is now it is completely broke. I went to turn the lamp shade so the seam would be visiabl and something snapped and the light shut off. I didn’t use any force just a slight turn of the shade and now I can’t use it at all. I tried using a different bulb. Tried different plugs but nothing worked. I’m deviated. Unfortunately I don’t have the money to replace so we’ll have to go back to a horrible tall lamp

Measuring brightness at max settings with a DT-1309 light meter in a dark room with the light bar at 16” horizontal from a brown desktop yielded the following results:..........Read...Study...Relax...BedLux......860.....970.......426.....217Fc.........80.......90.........37.......20(Fc = Foot Candles)At the lowest brightness setting in Bedtime mode, the results were: 42 lux and 3.9 Fc.The results changed significantly when the probe was moved just an inch around from the maximum measurement location, and when placed right up against the LED bar, registered greater than 10,000 lux. Although not a fair comparison, the Lightblade gives off way more light than my Z-Bar from Koncept purchased in 2007. Today they’re selling in the $300 range on Amazon. Are you kidding me?! I chose this one over the “Softech - Natural Light Smart LED Lamp with Tilting Head -White” because I wanted to turn the light on from either side of a desk in a dark room, and the lighted “on” button panel lays flat on this model vs facing one way for the Softech. It’s not as easy as I thought to poke a little red light in the dark on a touch pad, especially when the timer button is right next to the “on” button. Overall a good lamp and highly recommended, although I wish it ate more watts for a higher brightness setting and let me decide to lower the light level.
Excellent desk lamp. I like the temp of this light and find it easy on the eyes. Best I have had period.update: No longer good, I went out this week. Not sure problem but stopped providing light . Now I have to find out why, probably the leds which should have lasted longer also not having luck finding replacement.This item did not even last 3 months. Expensive to try.This is another update 7/7,2018. I am increasing my star rating for this product based on excellent customer support. When I contacted the company they went out of their way to send a replacement lamp. They only asked me to return the old lamp so they could find the problem and avoid it in the future. Strange thing when I disconnected the old lamp to prepare it for shipment I reconnected it to check it a last time. Worked perfect. Disconnecting the power must have reset the internals of the light and it is now working like a champ. Advised company and they suggested I keep it til the replacement arrived to see if it continued to work.The light is great and is the best desk lamp I have found. Company is responsive, though you will have to contact them through Amazon, and very helpful. Recommend it to anyone.
This lamp is saving my eyes. I use this lamp in my office that recently moved into where there is a dim fluorescent overhead light and smaller light attached to the underside of the hutch of my desk. Prior to receiving this lamp, my eyes were suffering. The overhead light was too dim for computer work and I found myself straining to see the text on the screen. On the other hand the smaller light was too harsh and emitted a strange sound when on. I would come home with headaches from all the strain on my eyes. Enter the Lightblade. The warm and cool settings are perfect for different types of work, computer work, reading. In the two weeks since I received this lamp, my eyes have been singing this lamp's praises. My eye strain is gone and so are the headaches. The touch pad is convenient and easy to use and the lamp looks great in my office. I now want to order one for my home office.

We chose this model over the countless similar ones because of the pull chain (rather than a cord switch) and the USB charging port.I ordered two, one for each side of the bed. I measured out the size before ordering so I knew that these were small. Definitely best for a desk or bedside tables. The included bulbs do light up a fair amount of the room, though we intend to use them mostly as reading lights.Here's some notes about the product: - Ours came with the pull chain (Mar, 2018) - The bulb included is a soft, clean white light, perfect for low-level lighting, though you can replace the bulb with anything up to 60W - I have tested each lamp's USB charging port and they work just fine--though they don't support fast-charging - They look pretty nice, for the price (see attached picture) - The only (potential) drawback is that the USB port and the wire are on adjacent sides of the base, and not opposite, which means if you want the USB port to face front, you'll see the wire coming out of the side of the base--wasn't enough for me to deduct a star.
Worst lamp ever!! Very badly made and surprised at the good ratings. The only thing I can think of is the earlier purchases were sent a more “quality” lamp. What I got was a cheaply made lamp of which the base was made of some type of lightweight material covered by what looked like a thin version of electrical tape that was coming apart at the corners. BRIGHTECH backs their product a 100% (AS STATED), commited to make sure you loved you purchase (AS STATED) and if not satisfied, wants to make things right (AS STATED)...well in looking into more of the customer reviews...you didn’t do what you STATED. I WILL NOT be purchasing anything from BRIGHTECH in the future.
This lamp was required to fit in a small space and it did that very well, simple in design but pleasing to the eye as well. We really like the LED bulb included, a nice extra that usually does not come with lamps from other suppliers, also the USB port is very handy to charge cell phones etc. All in all we are very pleased with this product, the price, and would recommend it to anyone requiring a practical well designed small table lamp, two thumbs up and five stars for sure.

Original review: The plastic joint broke within five months of owning lamp. I did not move lamp after I positioned it. The lamp itself is great. The supporting plastic pieces are not.New review (5 Jun 2018). Today I received a new lamp from OTUS. They responded to my previous review and sent a new one. They stated they had a batch of lamps which had weak plastic. The new lamp has been redesigned and appears much stronger with better support. It also came with an 18-month warranty. I'm impressed with their product and customer service.
Great lamps! We purchased 2 for our sofa end tables. Very, very happy with the lamps. Don't believe the review that says they don't stay in the base, there is a screw and washer on the bottom of the stem that you need to remove and replace after inserting the stem in the stand (they even include a spare set.) I would have liked the lower arm to pivot back a little more but that's not a deal breaker. Lots of variety in the 3 light options and dimmers. If you are looking for a good quality lamp that you won't have to replace, I'd recommend it highly.Addendum, 5 months later. I had a problem with one of the lamps. Customer service was outstanding and lightning fast. I still highly recommend this lamp!
Was really looking forward to a high quality desk lamp. I avoided cheaper ones to ensure I would get better quality. This lamp is a disappointment. Lots of thin poorly molded plastic parts and thin stamped aluminum. The only heavy duty part of it is the base which has a large carbon steel plate which is to hold the lamp in place wile you fidget with the cheap articulating arm and hardware, or more accurately plastic ware. Save your money!
